Getting To Banda

The Express Bahari 2B boat is currently the most recommended transportation from Ambon to Banda. The boat departs from Tulehu Harbour in Ambon on Tuesdays and Saturday at 9AM, and returning from Banda to Tulehu Harbour in Ambon on Wednesdays and Sunday at 9AM. Ticket price is at Rp 410.000 for Economy Class and Rp 650.000 for the VIP. For the Economy class you can sit outside to enjoy the view or inside in the AC area. The VIP class has one big screen for intertainment and the seats are extendable. Trip from Ambon to Banda is about 5 to 6 hours depending on the weather. Check your travel dates and plan your trip carefully, make sure you've plan your trip on the right months for a safe trip and a pleasant stay.

 

The PELNI Ships are the national interinsulair transportation that also do the trip from Ambon to Banda. At the moment, there are three PELNI Ships that comes here, KM. Nggapulo, KM. Leuser and KM. Pangrango.  The duration of the trip from Ambon varies from boat to boat. KM. Nggapulo and KM. Leuser will take around 7-8 hours and the KM Pangrango takes 12 hours. Prices range is from Rp. 110,000 and up (using a cabin). Susi Air is this year's flight operator (2018). The flight is running twice a week every Monday and Friday mornings, leaving Pattimura Airport in Ambon at 8:00AM, and return to Ambon from Banda Airstrip at 9:00AM.
